About LaRon
Connecting the dots between brands and buyers.
For more than twenty years, LaRon's work has lived in food and beverage. But it's never really been about the products themselves. It's always been about the people and stories behind the products—seeing them, opening doors for them, and making sure whoever walks through the door leaves it open.
For nearly a decade he worked as an ethnographer with a camera—filming small-business owners and youth culture across London, Tokyo, and Delhi, and building projects like My Small Story and a series of 300+ NYC portraits. Long before he ever moved a product, he learned to see people and find the story. That's the eye everything else runs on.
Then came the pivot into grocery—first at Drink King, then his own firm—where the storyteller's eye became the edge. Brands don't win on the product alone; they win on trust, relationships, and someone who can open the right door.
Access became LaRon's philosophy—connecting people who'd never otherwise meet. His unique ability to crisscross the CPG ecosystem manifests in more than 10,000 relationships with brands, buyers, distributors, retailers, and influencers.
Today LaRon sits at the center of the industry— whether it's at Whisha, the Naturally New York board, Grow-NY, Food Funded, or mentoring roasters. He spends as much energy handing out access as getting it, so that the platform for brands and buyers is as strong as it can be.
